Do you have items you want to sell or have evaluated? Come in, sit down, and relax. Our free evaluations service is based on sharing more about an item’s history and value to help you make an informed decision on selling or keeping your item. We have a broad knowledge that extends beyond coins. Make an appointment for your private evaluation.

Our store’s front door at 355 Pomeroy Ave. is just 1-1/2 blocks east of the Pismo Beach Pier. The historic beach community of Pismo Beach is located in San Luis Obispo County.
Locals call our area the Five Cities, with the towns of Grover Beach, Oceano, Arroyo Grande, Avila Beach, and Shell Beach nearby.

About Me
Welcome to my shop! I’m John Zalesny, owner and proprietor of Pismo Beach Coins Etc. Gallery, and I’m glad you’re here.
If you’re wondering about how my store came to be, you’re in the right place. Like many good stories, this one began when I was a child.
My journey as a numismatist (the fancy word for a coin collector) started with a childhood fascination with coins… old coins, different coins, rare coins. Before long, I had a respectable collection as a new coin collector, earned with the meager savings of a 7-year-old boy in Denver, Colorado.
Woven throughout my education as an accountant and into subsequent careers (like owning and operating a Morro Bay retail pharmacy with my family for 20 years) was my passion for and increasing my knowledge about coin collecting. This knowledge later expanded into other collectibles like vintage toys, banks, antique lighting, estate jewelry, and more. I’m also a member of the American Numismatic Association.
When it was time to sell the pharmacy, the next chapter of my life began. The only natural thing to do was the thing I’d been preparing my entire life for: opening Pismo Beach Coins Etc. Gallery.
Now, I get to share my passion and knowledge about coins, collectibles, and antiques with you. I created my store to be a friendly, fun, educational, and unique experience, and I can’t wait to show you around and share the treasures of this journey with you.
